Use your wristwatch as a compass

Hold a watch with 12 o'clock at left. Move your arm so the hour hand points at the sun. The spot halfway between the hour hand and the 12 is south.


A few considerations: First, if you're in the southern hemisphere, you would point 12 o'clock at the sun but still split the difference between 12 and the hour hand for north. Also, if you practice daylight saving time, you should subtract one hour from the hour hand.

Damn. It's too small. You can click on it though. It's not a good comic, just a little something I threw together in 5 minutes to show you what it would look like in a blog. As it turns out it looks too small. I'll have to figure that one out.

When in Rome...

I'm not really sure what I'm doing here.
It's hard to type because Waffle, is laying on the desk right in front of the laptop, right where my arm needs to go for comfortable typing.
but he's so adorable. i'll just type with one hand and pet him with the other as he sleeps.

yeah, that's annoying.
I want to get up and get a drink, but i don't want Waffle to move.

I've got a kittie on my arm and a kittie curled up by my feet. It's hard to move when you're getting double hojed.

Double Hojed: being hojed by two people/ animals
Hojed: held or cuddled, or any other form of physical closeness that falls into a cute and/or affectionate category.

Cats paralyze you with their affection. They so rarely consent to affectionate displays that you are forced to stay put when they actually want in on the hoje action.
